Remodeling of a Mews House
Location : Ballsbridge, Dublin
Status: Completed September 2007
This ‘fit out’ project involved new built-in and loose furniture to divide up spaces and allow for flexible adaptable living. The open plan kitchen / dining / living room located at first floor level was accessed via a new light filled iroko and glass bespoke roof-lit stairwell. The kitchen wall units and home office can be hidden, when not in use, by sliding timber panels, which also display large works of art. At ground level storage walls were designed to separate the study from the bedroom whilst also concealing wardrobes, laundry, WC and M&E appliances. The bathroom was relocated to an iroko lined extension with a large picture window to the rear garden allowing a peaceful bathing experience.
